Succession is an HBO show about the power struggle within the rich Roy family as they anticipate their father's naming of a successor to his company. I absolutely adore the drama and its full cast of characters- though my brain has become particularly eaten up by two of its men: The pathetic, slimey, awkward and emotionally stunted Tom and Greg.
The two often serve as the audience surrogates, (particularly the young, inexperienced Greg.) Both are outsiders and interlopers in the billionaires' world, and they've thusly clung onto eachother, living in dysfunctional symbiosis. The two are hilarious, and have a toxic relationship which sometimes feels like the healthiest on the show. These two characters mean so much to me, which is why I'm happily dedicating a page to them.
